The crowds of NY, Paris & Mebourne’s response said it all: they will never, I repeat NEVER, love you as much as they love Federer or Nadal despite their lower rankings. You will never garner the respect and love of the masses the way they have because they have the intangible qualities of humilty, grace, and sportmanship that you have proven time and time again, simply lack. They have a place in these fans’ hearts that you will never be able to replicate.  And without their love, you will be a great player but you will never be a legend.
